Labtec GmbH provides innovative Product Development and Manufacturing Services all over the world. Labtec is a subsidiary of tesa SE – a member of the Beiersdorf group of companies - and represents tesa’s pharmaceutical business. Labtec formed itself to a leader in the field of development and making of transdermal patches and oral films.

You can find Labtec's proprietary products, marketed through our business partners, among the most successful brands in Europe and they are also progressing well in the global markets. One of the most popular and successful products is amongst others a transdermal patch containing Fentanyl.

Labtec works at two sites. R&D is located in Langenfeld, between Cologne and Düsseldorf with state of the art cGMP lab facilities and vast analytical lab space. In Hamburg, inside tesa´s biggest German manufacturing plant, is the site for pilot and large scale manufacturing of patches and oral films. The new production site started operations in early 2009.
It works in compliance with cGMP standards and offers sufficient room for future expansion

With the skilled and experienced staff together with a strong and well established network of professional experts Labtec handles developments starting from feasibility study, technical issues, clinical and regulatory activities until manufacturing of the products.
