Almirall is the biggest Spanish pharma company in Europe and became through constant expansion a pan-European player with affiliates in all major European countries and in Mexico. In 2007 Almirall acquired the German derma company Hermal and two pan-European derma products from Shire: Solaraze and Vaniqa. Almirall ranks now among the Top 10 European derma players.

Almirall is looking for M&A and in-licensing opportunities in Dermatology. The projects must have successfully passed the proof-of-concept in man i.e. Phases 2 and later stages. Almirall is also open to discuss in licensing deals an R&D co-operation.

Core indications are Acne, Alopecia Androgenetica, Atopic Dermatitis, Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer (NMSC), Onychomycosis, Pruritus, Psoriasis, Rosacea, Scar Prevention.

The geograpgical focus is on Europe and Mexico.
