Yeda Research and Development Company Ltd. is responsible for technology transfer from the Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS), Israel's leading center of research and graduate education. WIS activities range across the spectrum of contemporary science. Yeda initiates and promotes the transfer to the global marketplace of research findings and innovative technologies developed by WIS scientists. Established by WIS in 1959, YEDA is one of the world's first and most successful technology transfer organizations, and demonstrated an impressive track record in promoting the commercial development of WIS research studies. Yeda performs the following activities:

• Protects the intellectual property of the Institute and its scientists.

• Licenses the Institute’s inventions and technologies to industry.

• Channels funding from industry to research projects

Proprietary Technology:

Inventions from the Weizmann Institute of Science include therapeutics (peptides, proteins, antibodies, small molecules, RNA-based therapies, aptamers, stem cells), diagnostics, enabling technologies, novel targets and research tools and extending to biofuels and systems biology.
